NY-style pizza typically has more ingredients than other traditional pizza. The dough is high in gluten and sugar and olive oil are added. It is important that the crust is hand-tossed. Here at Pizzeria Serio, every pizza is SERIOUSLY tossed by hand. Dried oregano, basil, and red chili flakes are added to the crust for extra spice. Light sauce is added to the dough compared to other types of pizzas as to not overpower the other delicious ingredients. As for cheese, we use full-fat fully delicious mozarella cheese and grate it by hand onto the pie. One of the most important differences is that NY Pizza crust is very thin allowing you to enjoy every part of the pizza without being overpowered by crust. And of course – all of our pizzas are cooked in the brick oven at 800 degrees for SERIOUSLY good taste.
